I am Certified Instructor Melvina "MeMe" Johnson-Paige. Although I have military veterans and retired law enforcement in my family, I myself am neither. My love for guns and gun-handling experience dates back to when I was a young girl. However, there came a time that I despised firearms, due to the murder of my first love. For many years I would get angry at the thought of guns and those that had them, legally or illegally. As I grew and matured, I realized that the gun itself was not the issue. The true issue was with the person that was handling it. I came to understand that legal and responsible gun ownership is important. 

A firearm is simply a tool available to protect the good from the bad, or to use for recreational purposes. With that knowledge, I redeveloped my passion for firearms and have devoted much time to studying them, firearm safety, and defensive training. 

I am a wife, mother, mentor, and caretaker who plans to protect my loved ones at all costs. Knowing that there are many others out there like me, I aim to share my knowledge and educate as many as I possibly can in the proper use of firearms, as well as other ways to protect themselves and keep their loved ones safe. Every day I look to be further educated so that I can, in turn, educate, empower, and equip those who seek out my services. I do what I do to make our communities safer and unite responsible citizens who desire to be safe and responsibly armed.
